We've had some fun today in Room 10.
First we went to the CSM Band concert with the rest of the school and Redcliffs School were there too. The Combined Training and Concert Band gave us an entertaining show. Then we did some Origami (Maths) and made Paper Cranes. What a great day. Have a wonderful Easter break everyone.

Mr Keeley comes to visit
Today Thomas' grandad came to visit Room 10 to share some old Museum exhibits and to talk to us about Captain Cook and the First Four Ships. We had a great time and learnt a lot. We got to make Buckyballs too. It was lots of fun.

Soiree
All are welcome to our Year 3/4 team Soiree from 6:30pm-7:30pm in the Sumner School Hall, this Wednesday 30th November. The recorder students, violin students and the whole team will be involved in a variety of items. The children need to be in the hall no later than 6:20. There is no need to be earlier than this.
For Room 10's Under the Sea Dance the children can wear uniform (as the uniform colours fit well with our sea theme) but also they can wear a seaweed-like decoration around a wrist/leg or in their hair. Purple, blue or green - it could be tinsel if you have any!
The drummers can wear a patterned shirt of any kind - Hawaaian, Fijian, floral or anything similar.
We look forward to seeing you Wednesday evening.

African Drumming
We learned about Drumming on a djembe drum which comes from West Africa. Koffie from Ghana and Manoui came to teach us about Pe and boom sound or open sound and bass sound. We loved drumming with Koffie and we got to go to a showcase and some of us performed for everyone in the afternoon.
