We are having a great term so far and the children are lucky to have 2 teachers to support their learning. Kate McDonald comes to us with particular expertise in Physical Education. Today we had a lesson learning how to increase our fitness levels and work together in a group.

Reimagining spaces

Today we walked to the newest building in Sumner, the fabulous Surf Lifesaving Club. We talked about function, form and fit, and discussed how these things are important when we think about a good space in which to learn. We are continuing to think about how we learn in particular spaces.

Welcome back to school everyone. The children had a great day sharing holiday stories, getting to know the classroom, welcoming new students to our school with a Powhiri, swimming practice, learning new routines in the classroom, attending a school assembly and generally finding our feet again after the long break! Here we are :-)

Coding and Cookie decoration

We've had some interesting activities this week in our team. We did some creative coding on the laptops with Ms Pears and some helpers; we drew a Christmas tree and programmed it to have flashing lights and spinning stars. 

 Marion our German teaching student has taught us German songs and counting in German. Today we had cookies to decorate and eat; it was lots of delicious fun!
