Welcome back to Term 4

Welcome back to the final term for the year! We hope you have all had a relaxing holiday.
Once again we have much exciting learning organised for the term. A special welcome back to Zara who was away in Wanaka during Term 3.
Our English programme will focus on information research skills, non-fiction texts, sentence structure and punctuation. The maths classes will be looking at fractions and revising the strategies we have learned so far this year.
This week El Grego is visiting the school to present a show and on Thursday we are involved in the national shakeup. This will be an opportunity to practise our earthquake drills.
The Life Education caravan is coming to the school in weeks three and four to give us health lessons.
In week five we are going to Rapaki Marae where we will be welcomed and we will learn about protocol. A note will be coming home this week about the marae visit as we will need parent help for transport.
Later in the term the Year 3 and 4 team is having their athletics day and near the end of the term we will be having our annual end of year outing.

Keep an eye on the blog and website for more details.

CSM Band Concert

Yesterday we had a nice walk down to Van Asch/Redcliffs for an awesome concert given by the Training and Concert bands. They played a variety of tunes including Firework, Mission Impossible and many more. We were so impressed with the standard of performance!!

Hair styles for Monday morning, Tuesday night, Wednesday morning, Thursday night

Production notice:
Can you please do the following styles for your child (as best you can) BEFORE they come to school Monday morning, and for all the production performances next week. RATS need to be at school at 5:30pm for the evening performances, all others can arrive just before 5:45 please. This is to ensure all costuming is complete in time for us to make our appearance. Many many thanks to Jenny and her team for an outstanding job on costuming, hair styling creations, make-up planning etc.
