First Week Reflection

This morning we talked about what we enjoyed about our first week at school in Room 10, and what we like about our classroom.

Hugh: "I liked doing the collages and the waka because it was a lot of hard work and it looks great". "I liked finding out that I was on the student council."

Polly: "I like that there's string up on the ceiling because that means we're going to be doing lots of art throughout the year." "Walking into the classroom each morning and looking at how colourful the classroom is."

Harry: "I liked coming up with stuff for our 3 rules for our treaty." "I like all the reading displays that are on the walls because when you are on the mat you can read them." 

Poppy: "Knowing new people is good".

James: "I liked making the treaty because it was hard work."

Jonah: "I like the waka people and the hard work we put into them." "I like the bookshelf because there are lots of books and there are some of my favourites in it."

Olly: "I like the waka because all of the class is going to be on it."

Hazel: "I liked drawing the picture to describe one thing we did in the holiday." "I like reading the poem above the whiteboard." (You have brains in your head, you have feet in your shoes, you can steer yourself any direction you choose.)

Ben: "I liked walking around and doing the get to know each other sheet because we knew each other better." "I like coming in and sitting on the new rainbow mats."

Matisse: "I liked how we got to know new people in the class and in other classes."

Selene: "I liked doing the reading questionaire and I like reading because you learn to spell heaps of words."

Millie: "I liked doing Maths and learning more names when we introduced ourselves and we had to skip count in 2s at the same time. It was sort of tricky." "I like coming into the classroom and saying good morning to Ms Lean". "I like seeing Ms Lean's lovely smile."

Georgie: "I like doing Maths interchange because I get to know more teachers." (we started that today".

Eve: "I liked when we had to change our desks around because you can sit next to different people." (today)

Alana: "I like looking at the waka before school because the waka is sparkly."

Callum: "I like getting new notices each day about what's happening. I liked hearing about the student council because we got to do a silent vote and I'm one of them."
